What's a guardian program?
Simply put, you can get an adult dog with no upfront cost to a person for one of our AKC Yorkies or AKC Schnauzers in our Guardian Program. We provide a quality female who will live with the loving "approved" family or individual but will remain in our breeding program for 1 to 4 litters. The “guardian” will love and care for the doggie as a member of their family and will pay for daily care and medical needs. (We pay for ALL breeding related medical expenses.) The doggie comes here for breeding sessions and whelping her puppies and then returns to her guardian home. (Tiny Tushy Lodge will retain ownership of the puppies.) After our contract is fulfilled, the family will have 100% ownership of the doggie!

What is required from a guardian member?
(This is a basic list, ask us for the more detailed contract if you are interested.)

You must live within a 1 hour drive of Tiny Tushy Lodge in Greencastle Indiana.

You will allow us and/or AKC to inspect your home as needed.

you will have knowledge of dog's heat cycles.

You will provide the doggie with a caring, safe and loving home.

You will keep the doggie clean and well-groomed.

You will have a fenced, contaminate free yard with no history of canine parvovirus, distemper, rabies, canine influenza, and infectious hepatitis (adenovirus), giardia and coccidia.

You will protect the doggie from aerial predators.

You will provide the doggie with veterinary care as needed, yearly wellness check-up, vaccinations, any medical issues the dog, emergency vet costs, (not related to breeding, we take care of that).

You will provide monthly flea, tick, heartworm and deworming. We use Simparica Trio and Brevcto when pregnant..

You will provide transportation for the dog gieto Tiny Tushy Lodge for breeding and whelping.

You will keep Tiny Tushy Lodge updated of the doggie in your care along with pictures.
