What to Expect When We Are Expecting
If you are here, you are probably excited, curious, and maybe have a gazillion questions—and that is completely normal.
Bringing home a Yorkshire Terrier or Miniature Schnauzer puppy is a big decision, and we want families to understand what the process looks like before placing a deposit or joining one of our litters.
Every litter is different. Every puppy is different. This page is simply a look into how we do things around here and what families can expect along the way.
We Announce Upcoming Litters
When we are expecting, we share updates on our website and available puppy pages.
At this stage, colors, size, and personalities are still developing. Puppies have their own timelines and sometimes surprise us, so we try to keep expectations realistic while still sharing the excitement.
This stage is usually full of planning, dreaming, and questions—and we welcome questions.
We Talk Before Puppies Are Reserved
We believe choosing a puppy should feel personal.
Before reserving a puppy, we prefer to have a conversation. We want families to learn about us, and we want to learn about your home, your expectations, and what you are looking for.
A text message can start the conversation, but we believe real conversations help everyone feel more comfortable.
Reserving Your Place
Once families decide to move forward, a non-refundable deposit reserves placement.
We always encourage families to think things through first. A puppy is a lifetime commitment and we want people to feel confident and excited about their decision.
Questions are welcome before reserving.
The Waiting Begins (Pup-Dates)
This is usually the fun part.
As puppies grow, we share updates, pictures, milestones, and little moments as time allows.
We are also a working farm, so there may be times when responses are slower than expected—but we promise we have not forgotten you.
We prefer natural pictures and everyday moments over heavily staged photos.
Growing Up Here
This is where a lot of the little things happen.
We believe the little things are really the big things.
Daily interaction, routines, observation, socialization, and paying attention to details all become part of raising puppies.
Nutrition also matters to us. We focus on quality feeding and believe fresh ingredients can be part of supporting growing puppies.
Early Neurological Stimulation & Early Development
One thing that matters to us is early neurological stimulation and thoughtful early experiences.
These are gentle activities and handling experiences done during early development to help support confidence and adjustment as puppies grow.
Many returning puppy families tell us they notice the difference in confidence, transition, and everyday life—and we believe consistency matters.
Raise and Praise
Our goal is not perfection.
Our goal is helping puppies grow with confidence and positive experiences.
Puppies are introduced to everyday life, encouragement, household sounds, and routines to help support the transition into family homes.
Veterinary Care & Preparing To Go Home
Before puppies leave us, they receive veterinary care and preparation appropriate for their age.
We want families to feel prepared—not overwhelmed—when their puppy joins their home.
Delivery & Bringing Your Puppy Home
Whether families pick up in person or use delivery options, we work to make the process feel clear and comfortable.
